I'm currently saving up for a pen display tablet as it seems easier to draw on than a typical drawing tablet when you're transitioning from traditional art to digital art. I've been making my first few digital pieces using the MediBang/ArtStreet app on my phone, and it's been great so far. But I'd rather have a slightly more organic experience with using a tablet instead of limiting myself to my phone. I've currently got my eyes set on either a Huion Kamvas 15.6 or an XP-Pen Artist 15.6 as they both rate high on multiple lists of the best affordable drawing tablets, most notably on these links:
